Long Eyelashes! (Ps 11-13)

"His eyes see, His eyelids test the children of man." Grinning, I decide that David would decide to have big eyelashes after the women at (re)vision conference asked him this question: Do you want to have a hairy face or a foot long eyelashes? My bad!

Few months ago, we had our first women conference at National Community Church called (re)vision where women came to connect with each other to talk about influence, community, and discipleship. Those weird-good MC asked all of us those questions, most women choose to have hairy face over a foot long eyelashes! With a foot long eyelashes, one could not turn well in the bed, walk around, or even kiss a man! A hairy face most have chosen!

The eyelid is a skin that covers the eyes, which also contains sweat glands and hairs, the latter becoming eyelashes as as the border of the eyelid is met. After death, it is many cultures' custom to close those eyelids, the eyes are probably scary if left open.

Imagine ourselves as the children being tested by His eyelids! What did it looks like to choirmaster of David when he wrote this? Here is what I think: we are the children clinging to His foot long eyelashes like a roller coaster until we are strong enough to let go. One... two... three here we go! We leap. We land onto His eye. We stand between eyelashes dizzy and overwhelmed.
