"If you are a numerous people, go up by yourselves to the forest, and there clear ground for yourselves in the land of the Perizzites and the Rephaim, since the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you... You are a numerous people and have great power. You shall not have one allotment only, but the hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders. For you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong."
WHOA!!! Joshua told the people of Joseph to go up by themselves to possess the land! Even more, Joshua just promised them that they shall conquer the land, yeah, Joshua just made a vow! He answered their question with a Holy confidence, "If you are a numerous people, go up!" But how did he know what God will do without asking the Lord? Honestly I don't know!
But there is one thing that I know for sure, that his faith had increased hugely! Joshua knew that the Lord had given them the promise land so he promised the people of Joseph that they will claim those territory! It's like Joshua promised under His promise! DANG! I want the same kind of faith as Joshua had! But to have the same kind of faith, we have to meditate upon His words and know Him well like Joshua had, to be able to know more about what He had promised us. When we know what God has promised us, then we will be able to rejoice and proclaim His promise like Joshua had!
Stay in Him day and night, meditate upon His words and follow Him, then He shall be with you everywhere you go! And you will be able to go anywhere with 24/7 boldness! YEA!!!
